Fort Worth is a city with a storied history, having been established in 1849. Part of that history is reflected in Fort Worth’s numerous private clubs, several of which have been in operation for half a century or more. These clubs, many of them with very exclusive membership, offer fabulous amenities to members while celebrating the history of our great city.

Mira Vista Country Club

Mira Vista, established in 1987, is a member-owned country club and gated community located in southwest Fort Worth, with membership available to both residents of the community and non-residents. Member amenities include a championship golf course, swimming pools, and numerous tennis courts. The clubhouse is also a popular venue for weddings and other events.

Colonial Country Club

Founded in 1936, Colonial Country Club began as a golf club, and that heritage is still celebrated today. Colonial is home to the Ben Hogan Museum and hosts the annual (and newly titled) Dean & Deluca Invitational golf tournament. Membership is by invitation only.

River Crest Country Club

River Crest is one of Fort Worth’s oldest country clubs, founded in 1911. Located five miles from downtown in Arlington Heights, the club is home to a legendary golf course, a fitness center, and a 50-meter swimming pool.

Ridglea Country Club

Opened in 1954, Ridglea Country Club began as a public golf course before expanding to become the charming country club it is today. Member-owned since 1974, the club is home to two golf courses, an 11-court tennis complex, and a popular swimming pool. The club’s banquet rooms are available for events large and small, with catering provided by their culinary team.

Shady Oaks Country Club

Shady Oaks’ history began in 1955 in Westover Hills, when founder Marvin Leonard broke ground on what would become Shady Oaks’ lavish golf course. His pursuit of perfection led to Shady Oaks becoming a world-renowned golfing destination. Members enjoy a state of the art fitness center, a 25-meter swimming pool, and both casual and formal dining.

The Fort Worth Club

Located in downtown Fort Worth, the Fort Worth Club is a social, business and athletic club that has been a part of Fort Worth history for over 125 years. Amenities available to members include fine dining, annual events, and access to the Athletic Center, Barber Shop and the Inn at the Club, a collection of 21 boutique hotel rooms for overnight guests. Membership is by invitation only.

Woodhaven County Club

Woodhaven, located in east Fort Worth, is home to a championship 18-hole golf course and practice facility, and has hosted many professional golf tournaments. Other member amenities include a swimming pool, 8 tennis courts, a state-of-the-art gym, and an onsite car wash.
